HLC have invested heavily in kilning facilities and currently operate nine kilns which gives us the largest kiln drying & heat treatment capacity of any UK pallet manufacturer, enabling us to kiln dry / heat treat over 25,000 pallets per week.
Four of the nine kilns were installed in April 2009 and are new “high output” chambers, which benefit from improved heat recovery and provide us with additional capacity to cater for increased demand in this growing area of our business.
All of our kilns operate off wood waste chips which are produced via our wood waste reprocessing facility & also have the facility to switch to oil if required.
HLC are licensed by The Forestry Commission to heat treat pallets to ISPM15 requirements – Our license number is GB-FC68 & our branding/marking is as shown right.
In addition to our nine kilns, we have erected a new 20,000 sq ft under cover store which is capable of holding 40,000 kiln dried / heat treated pallets. The roof of this new building is netted and the under cover store provides a clean dry environment in which to hold manufactured stock.
