HLC source timber from FSC accredited suppliers & from sustainable managed forests & we have a proven, robust, reliable supply chain.
We purchase direct from the major UK sawmills and in addition to these large suppliers, HLC have been actively supporting smaller local sawmills in order to secure ongoing supply, reduce our carbon footprint & to develop solid lasting relationships that are mutually beneficial.
Home grown softwood accounts for around 60% of our current timber volumes, with a further 30% coming direct from our suppliers in the Baltic States & the remaining 10% coming from Scandinavia.
Due to our strong financial background, year on year growth & reliable usage forecasts, HLC have developed excellent trading relationships with all of our timber suppliers & are in many cases a “preferred customer”.
